The Restoring Resilient Reefs Act of 2020 reauthorizes the Coral Reef Conservation Act of 2000 and establishes the United States Coral Reef Task Force. It directs NOAA to provide funding to states for coral reef management, requires the formation of partnerships among government and community groups, and mandates a national coral reef resilience strategy. The Department of the Interior is also given authority to provide financial assistance and scientific expertise for coral reef conservation and restoration, particularly in response to emergencies.
