Bill overview
This bill extends the tax credit available to individuals and businesses for installing equipment used to refuel alternative fuel vehicles, such as electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles. It extends the current credit through December 31, 2028, and significantly increases the maximum amount of the credit that can be claimed for a single refueling property item from $30,000 to $200,000. The goal is to encourage the adoption of cleaner transportation fuels by making the cost of refueling infrastructure more affordable.
