Bill overview
The Support Small Business R & D Act of 2020 aims to help small businesses and startups better understand and utilize federal tax credits, particularly those related to research and development. The Small Business Administration (SBA), in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), will develop training materials and resources, both online and in person, to educate these businesses. The act also directs Small Business Development Centers and other related organizations to incorporate this training into their services, and requires a report to Congress detailing outreach efforts.
