Bill overview
The All Dependents Count Act of 2020 expands the eligibility for the 2020 recovery rebates issued during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, these rebates were only available to taxpayers with qualifying children under the age of 17. This bill changes the definition of ‘qualifying children’ to include all dependents, such as adult children, stepchildren, or other family members, allowing more people to receive the stimulus money. It does this by amending the Internal Revenue Code.
