Bill overview
This bill requires the President to produce a report assessing Cambodia’s continued eligibility for the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program, a trade preference program that offers duty-free access to certain goods from developing countries. The report will determine if Cambodia meets the criteria to remain a beneficiary developing country or least-developed beneficiary developing country, and will consider whether duty-free treatment should be withdrawn, suspended, or limited. The findings will be submitted to the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee.
