Bill overview
This bill proposes an exemption for certain federal requirements when projects and activities are funded in areas outside of metropolitan statistical areas. Specifically, it would waive the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act for these projects. The goal is to reduce regulatory burdens on projects in rural or less populated regions while still utilizing federal funding. This would allow for more streamlined project development in non-metropolitan areas.
