Bill overview
This bill, the TRICARE Prescription Relief Act, allows the Department of Defense to temporarily reduce or waive cost-sharing fees for TRICARE beneficiaries during specific emergencies. When a national emergency, public health emergency, or declared disaster is in effect, the Secretary of Defense can decide to waive these fees. This aims to improve access to medications for military personnel and their families during challenging times, and to encourage them to continue taking their prescribed medications.
