Bill overview
This bill requires the Department of Defense to remove Confederate names, symbols, displays, monuments, and paraphernalia from all of its property. It prohibits the Department from using or displaying these items in the future, except for grave markers. The bill mandates a one-year timeframe for removal and requires the Secretary of Defense to certify completion to Congress. This aims to eliminate symbols of the Confederacy from military assets.
