Bill overview
The Brian Tally VA Employment Transparency Act of 2020 requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide specific information to individuals filing claims for damages, injuries, or deaths related to their federal employment. When someone submits a claim on Standard Form 95, the VA must notify them of the importance of seeking legal counsel and provide details about the employment status of any individuals named on the claim. Furthermore, if the claim involves a VA contractor, the VA must also advise the claimant about relevant statute of limitations deadlines for the claim.
