Bill overview
This bill requires online retailers selling imported goods to clearly disclose the country of origin of each item, or at least the country where it was manufactured or assembled. Specifically, retailers must display this information prominently on the product page. The bill also allows the Treasury Secretary to create regulations, potentially including exemptions for small businesses or resellers. Finally, the disclosure requirement begins 15 days after the bill’s enactment.
