Bill overview
The Stronger Medicaid Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic Act aims to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, as well as care for complications related to COVID-19, for uninsured individuals through Medicaid. It allows states to provide these services without requiring cost-sharing, and it extends coverage to certain unlawful aliens. The bill also clarifies how assistance and services provided during the pandemic are treated for eligibility and benefit purposes, and establishes emergency Medicaid coverage for individuals suspected of having COVID-19.
