Bill overview
The Outdoor Restoration Partnership Act of 2021 establishes the Outdoor Restoration Fund and creates two programs to support restoration and resilience projects on both federal and non-federal lands. The Restoration and Resilience Grant Program provides grants to eligible entities for planning, coordination, and monitoring restoration projects, while the Restoration and Resilience Partnership Program allows the USDA to undertake projects that reduce wildfire risk, improve community resilience, and restore wildlife habitat. The act also establishes an advisory council to provide guidance on the fund’s use and requires regular reporting on project outcomes.
