Bill overview
The RISE from Trauma Act aims to improve support for children, youth, and families who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing trauma. It does this by establishing and extending programs that fund pilot projects, train service providers and community members in trauma-informed practices, and create a national center to share best practices with law enforcement. The bill also provides grants for multi-sector demonstration projects, interventions for hospital patients, and clinical training in infant and early childhood mental health, while incorporating trauma-informed approaches across various sectors.
