Bill overview
This bill, known as Canyon’s Law, prohibits the use of M-44 devices, often called ‘cyanide bombs,’ on public land. These devices use sodium cyanide to kill animals like wolves, coyotes, and foxes, but pose significant risks to people and the environment. The bill requires federal, state, and county agencies to remove any M-44 devices currently deployed on public land within 30 days of enactment.
