Bill overview
The CHANCE in TECH Act aims to boost the technology workforce in the United States by supporting apprenticeships and improving career and technical education. It directs the Department of Labor to contract with industry partners to develop and expand technology apprenticeship programs, and it authorizes the Department of Education to provide awards to schools that prioritize STEM, career and technical education, and computer technology skills. The bill also seeks to align education with employer needs and address the growing demand for technology workers, including those nearing retirement.
