Bill overview
This bill changes the rules for receiving grants to build small water storage and groundwater storage projects under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. It lowers the minimum water storage capacity required for projects to qualify for funding from 2,000 acre-feet to 200 acre-feet. Additionally, the bill allows the Bureau of Reclamation to use funds to repair or rebuild dams that were built under the Carey Act, provided they haven't already received sufficient funding for those projects.
