Bill overview
The Voter Choice Act aims to help state and local governments transition to ranked choice voting systems. It directs the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to provide technical assistance and grant funding to support this transition. The grants can be used for things like new voting equipment, ballot design, educational materials, and voter outreach efforts. This legislation updates the Help America Vote Act to specifically address ranked choice voting.
