The Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Act aims to improve treatment options for individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other rare neurodegenerative diseases. It establishes grant programs to support research on expanded access to investigational drugs, creates a public-private partnership to accelerate drug development, and requires the FDA to develop a five-year action plan to foster the development of therapies.
