Bill overview
This bill, the Children and Media Research Advancement Act (CAMRA Act), aims to increase research into how media – including social media, television, and video games – affects the health and development of infants, children, and adolescents. It directs the National Institutes of Health to fund studies examining the potential positive and negative impacts of media use on cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development. The bill also establishes a process for developing a research agenda and requires the NIH to report on its progress to Congress.
