Bill overview
This bill reauthorizes two existing national heritage areas – the Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and the Upper Housatonic Valley National Heritage Area also in Connecticut and Massachusetts. It extends the authorization for both areas through 2036 and removes a previous limitation on the amount of funding that could be allocated to them. These areas are designed to promote economic development and cultural preservation in their respective regions.
