Overview
This bill aims to expand access to a potentially beneficial treatment for veterans with Parkinson’s disease and similar movement disorders. It directs the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer boxing-based exercise classes to eligible veterans who are enrolled in the VA healthcare system and want to use these classes to manage their condition. The VA would either provide the classes at a VA facility or reimburse veterans for classes offered at other locations. The changes will take effect 180 days after the bill becomes law.
