Overview
This bill reauthorizes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Chesapeake Bay Office through 2025 and updates its responsibilities. It authorizes the office to establish education and training programs, support coordinated management of Chesapeake Bay habitats, and enhance integrated coastal observations. The bill also strengthens the office’s ability to address coastal hazards and climate change, and to collaborate with various organizations to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem.
