Bill overview
The America Stands with Israel Act authorizes the President to take military action, including the use of force, to protect Israel from existing or imminent threats, such as those posed by countries, terrorist organizations, or cyberattacks. It allows the President to deploy U.S. Armed Forces to situations where Israel’s survival is at risk and mandates reporting to Congress about such deployments. Furthermore, the bill provides the President with the authority to immediately transfer defense articles and services to Israel in response to a credible threat, bypassing certain limitations on aid.
