Bill overview
The LEAP Act provides a tax credit to employers who hire apprentices. Specifically, employers can receive up to $1,500 per year for apprentices who have not yet reached age 25, or $1,000 per year for those aged 25 or older, provided they meet certain apprenticeship program requirements. The credit is limited to two years per employee and is designed to encourage investment in apprenticeship programs. Additionally, the bill directs the Office of Management and Budget to reduce government printing costs and increase transparency in government publications.
