Bill overview
The Hotels for Heroes Act of 2022 amends the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act to ensure that hotels and lodging establishments must waive minimum age requirements for active-duty military members. When a service member presents a valid military ID and is traveling under military orders or authorized leave, they are allowed to book and stay at these establishments regardless of their age. Violations of this requirement can result in fines.
