The Putting Our Resources Toward Security (PORTS) Act authorizes the General Services Administration (GSA) to receive up to $2 billion each year from 2022 to 2024 to upgrade existing ports of entry across the United States. The goal is to bolster border security by addressing needed repairs and improvements at these locations. The GSA will work with the Department of Homeland Security to prioritize ports of entry based on assessments of their current condition and security needs.
