Bill overview
The RESET for America’s Future Act aims to revitalize and expand SNAP employment and training programs. It proposes to streamline federal reimbursement for states that meet specific criteria, such as demonstrating positive program outcomes and using evidence-based practices. The bill also seeks to temporarily reimburse states 100% for transportation and data system costs related to these programs, and commissions a national assessment to improve program effectiveness and alignment with other workforce development initiatives. It also allows states to use other federal funding to meet matching requirements for these programs.
