Bill overview
This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to regularly report on attempts by terrorists to enter the United States. Specifically, the agency must publish each month the total number of individuals identified as ‘known or suspected terrorists’ or included in the Terrorist Screening Database who were stopped at the border or other entry points. The reports will break down encounters by location – land, air, or sea – and will be made publicly available on the Department’s website. This aims to increase transparency regarding security efforts at the nation’s borders.
