Bill overview
This bill proposes to adjust the salaries of members of Congress, including the Speaker of the House, President pro tempore, and Senate and House leaders, to match the salaries of federal judges. Specifically, congressional pay would be tied to the highest salary among either $274,200 or the annual salary of a Supreme Court Justice. District and circuit judges would also see their salaries adjusted to align with congressional pay. The changes would take effect after the 2024 general election.
