Bill overview
This bill, titled the ‘Expose Biden’s Inflation, Deficits, and Economic Neglect Act,’ requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to analyze the economic impact of major federal regulations. Specifically, the GAO must determine if these rules contribute to inflation or a decline in the U.S. economy’s gross domestic product. If a rule is found to negatively impact these metrics, the relevant federal agency must permanently rescind it, and cannot re-propose a similar rule until three months after the economy shows improvement. The GAO will report its findings to the President, Congress, and the relevant committees.
