Bill overview
This bill aims to equalize juror pay in the District of Columbia. Currently, jurors serving in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia receive lower fees and expenses than those serving in U.S. district courts. The District of Columbia Juror Pay Parity Act would amend the District of Columbia’s official code to ensure that DC jurors receive the same compensation as their counterparts in federal courts.
