Bill overview
The Global Autism Act establishes a program within the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support developing countries in addressing autism spectrum disorder (ASD). USAID will designate two regions in need of assistance, select a nonprofit organization to implement the program, and provide grants to local service providers and advocacy groups. This includes funding for education, family support, educational institutions, and clinics, as well as training health and education professionals through conferences and workshops.
