Bill overview
This bill aims to ensure equal treatment for appeals related to a business’s status as a HUBZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) small business. Currently, these appeals are handled by a different part of the Small Business Administration. The bill would authorize the Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA), which handles appeals for other SBA programs, to also handle appeals regarding HUBZone status. This would create more consistent appeal processes for small businesses in underserved communities.
