Bill overview
This bill, known as a ‘relief bill,’ seeks to compensate Ted Simonson and Reoforce, Inc. for losses they incurred due to the government’s taking of their mining claims. It proposes a payment from the U.S. Treasury to fully resolve all claims against the United States stemming from these injuries. Furthermore, the bill prevents Simonson and Reoforce, Inc. from receiving additional compensation from the Bureau of Land Management related to these same injuries, and limits any fees paid to agents or attorneys involved in securing this relief.
