Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of the Interior to transfer approximately 55.3 acres of land in Pinal County, Arizona, known as the Blackwater Trading Post Land, into trust for the Gila River Indian Community. This transfer will occur after the Community conveys all of its rights and interests in the land to the Department and completes a survey if requested. Furthermore, the land will be considered part of the Community’s reservation, and gaming will be prohibited on the newly-held trust land.
