Bill overview
This bill allows certain tax-exempt organizations, like charitable foundations, to provide grants to college fraternities and sororities for improvements and maintenance of their housing properties. These grants can be used to upgrade or operate collegiate housing, as long as it’s consistent with the standards of a college dormitory. The bill specifically clarifies that these grants won’t jeopardize the organizations’ tax-exempt status and prohibits funds from being used for physical fitness facilities.
