The Behavioral Health Coordination and Communication Act of 2022 establishes a new position within the Executive Office of the President, the Interagency Coordinator for Behavioral Health. This Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating federal programs and activities related to mental health and substance use disorders, consulting with numerous federal agencies, and developing a framework for improved service delivery. The Coordinator will also conduct inventories of relevant programs, establish a public website, and address disparities in access to care.
