Bill overview
The REVEAL Act amends immigration law to increase transparency regarding visa denials based on foreign policy concerns. Specifically, it allows the Department of State to publicly disclose the identity of an alien denied a visa due to involvement in corruption, transnational repression, or human rights abuses, along with the justification for the denial. The President will also be required to annually report to Congress a list of individuals denied visas for these reasons. This aims to hold the State Department accountable and promote legitimacy in visa decisions.
