Bill overview
The Promoting Women in Trucking Workforce Act directs the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to establish an advisory board, the Women of Trucking Advisory Board, to examine policies and programs aimed at supporting women in the trucking industry. The goal is to increase recruitment, retention, and advancement opportunities for women, recognizing their underrepresentation in the field. The board will also identify barriers and recommend strategies for improvement, and report its findings to Congress and the public.
