The United States-Taiwan Public Health Protection Act establishes a joint United States-Taiwan Infectious Disease Monitoring Center within the American Institute in Taipei. This center will work with Taiwan’s Centers for Disease Control to monitor infectious diseases in the Indo-Pacific region, sharing data and expertise. The goal is to provide an early warning system for potential outbreaks and to strengthen public health collaboration between the two countries.
