Bill overview
The End Fentanyl Act aims to strengthen efforts to combat the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs at the U.S. border. It directs U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to regularly review and update its policies and manuals related to inspections at ports of entry. The goal is to ensure consistent and effective inspection practices that can identify and disrupt attempts to smuggle drugs across the border. This will help address the rising number of overdose deaths related to fentanyl.
