Bill overview
The Revitalizing American Priorities for Infrastructure Development Act (RAPID Act) aims to improve the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation (TIFIA) program. It requires TIFIA applicants to obtain investment-grade ratings from credit rating agencies, with some exceptions for smaller loans. The bill also directs the Department of Transportation to establish a faster decision process for public agency loan applications and to regularly publish updates on the status of TIFIA projects.
