Bill overview
This bill establishes a new voluntary protection program within the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The program encourages workplaces to implement comprehensive safety and health management systems by offering cooperative agreements with employers. Participating companies will receive exemptions from certain inspections and paperwork requirements, but will be subject to onsite evaluations and periodic reevaluations to ensure continued compliance and high levels of employee protection.
