Bill overview
This bill authorizes the Department of Defense (DOD) to conduct a pilot program to explore the creation of data libraries specifically designed for training artificial intelligence models. The goal is to improve the DOD’s ability to acquire and utilize the best artificial intelligence and machine learning software. The program will assess the feasibility of these libraries and allow public and private sector organizations to access relevant data for AI development. The Secretary of Defense must provide a briefing to Congress on the program’s implementation and findings.
