The Everyday Philanthropist Act allows employers to offer a tax-advantaged benefit to employees: a flexible giving account. Through this account, employees can elect to have a portion of their pre-tax income deposited, designating charities to receive those funds. Distributions from the account are not considered taxable income, and are treated as charitable contributions for tax purposes, subject to certain limitations and exclusions for specific employee types.
