Bill overview
This bill extends the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which provided financial assistance to small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, until June 30, 2021. However, the program will only accept applications submitted before June 1, 2021, and the Small Business Administration will not be able to process new applications during the final month of the program. The bill also prevents the SBA from prioritizing applications, except for those related to specific set-asides established in a previous law. This extension aims to provide a final opportunity for eligible businesses to access PPP funds.
