Bill overview
This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide regular updates to Congress on how it’s spending funds allocated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the VA must submit a detailed plan for these funds within 30 days and then provide biweekly reports on obligations, expenditures, and planned uses. The Inspector General will conduct audits and report on any waste, fraud, or abuse, while the Comptroller General will provide a comprehensive review of the VA’s process and offer recommendations for future pandemic funding.
