The Pay Our Troops Act ensures that military personnel, including reservists, and civilian employees and contractors supporting them, continue to receive their pay during government shutdowns or periods when regular appropriations are not in place. It provides continuing appropriations for military pay and allowances if Congress fails to pass full funding for the fiscal year. These funds would be available until an appropriation is enacted, a continuing resolution is passed, or January 1, 2025.
