Bill overview
The Soil CARE Act of 2023 aims to improve soil health on agricultural land by establishing a training program within the USDA. This program will educate Department of Agriculture personnel and third-party providers on biological soil health management practices. It will also provide resources and technical support to farmers to help them implement regenerative farming systems that improve soil health and ecosystem function. The training will be delivered through online courses and in-person workshops, with a focus on diverse agricultural approaches and addressing the needs of underserved producers.
