The Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences Act (PACE Act) establishes a program to prevent adverse childhood experiences and promote positive childhood experiences across the United States. It provides grants to states, territories, Tribal organizations, and local governments to implement evidence-based prevention strategies and collect data to identify and address specific needs. The bill also directs the CDC to conduct research on adverse childhood experiences, including the impact of historical trauma, and to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention programs.
